Job Description POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for the full-lifecycle execution of large-scale construction projects, ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, and timeline commitments. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS Project Planning & Strategy Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Perform risk management to minimise project risks. Manage and seek approval for changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs if necessary. Execution, Monitoring & Control Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Control all project functions related to project management, planning, procurement, site management, project control, engineering management, procurement, and construction management to meet the project goals. Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals. Prepare reporting on budgets, schedule expenditure, and initiate corrective action to meet financial objectives, Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture among the ranks through out the Company Engineering & Technical Oversight Monitor and conduct reviews of detailed designs, drawings, and specifications. Perform other project engineering duties as assigned.Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitiations or faults in order to seek solution to a more efficient process, Develop internal communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between variuos department of an organization Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assesment, and resources. Stakeholder & Team Leadership Manage project team and resources for the flawless execution of the project. Ensure positive working relationships with all parties. Project Closure, Handover & Operations Responsible for managing the post-construction stages including but not limited to project handover, deliverables, defect liability period, certificate of completion and compliance, and final accounts. Site Operations & Progress Control Site Monitoring: Evaluate project progress on-site, proactively identifying and reporting any events that could lead to delays. Inspections: Attend all site visits and related coordination meetings. Technical Tracking: Monitor and track the status of authority approvals, material approvals, RFIs (Requests for Information), Site Instructions, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and defects. Key Challenges To ensure no interruption to airport operations during construction. To coordinate works involving live airport operations with airport operations and air traffic services. To obtain and maintain approvals from relevant authorities (CAAM, DOSH, local authorities). To manage internal and external stakeholders Speeding up a delayed schedule usually breaks the budget, while cutting costs risks the project's scope. Skills Strong understanding and conscious of safe work practive Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Able to work independently Familiar with Factories and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act and Occupational Safety and Health 1994. Relevant Industries Recognised Engineering Degree level qualified from an established university in the Malaysia/ UK/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ Singapore accredited by Boards of Engineer Malaysia with minimum 7 years experiences in construction Possessed technical experiences in large and complex scale construction industry (>RM 200million) Unique Requirement Experience in managing and coordinating multiple local and international contractor Education Recognised Engineering Degree level qualified from an established university in the Malaysia/ UK/ US/ Canada/ Australia/ Singapore accredited by Boards of Engineer Malaysia with minimum 7 years experiences in construction Additional Information Open for Malaysian citizen only.
