Purpose of the Job: • The System Integration and Validation Leader is in charge to define and drive the optimal strategy to integrate all subsystems and to validate the transport system. • He/she shall lead the Integration and Validation process all along the sub-system integration process and system testing for the transport system to be delivered Organization: • Hierarchically to the Project Validation, Test & Acceptance Manager • Functionally to the System Platform I&V Leader Network & Links: • Internal in Alstom: Requirement Manager System PrEM / System Engineering Manager System Tests Manager Project Subsystem Managers / VTA Managers System RAMS Manager • External: Consortium partners Subsystem Subcontractor Technical Leaders Subsystem Suppliers Main Responsibilities: • Transversal and global understanding of system break down and rebuilding • Define and manage the System Integration & Validation strategy in order to optimize the overall project Integration &Validation process by leveraging FAT’s, mock-ups, type tests, off-shore interface & integration tests in factory, on test tracks, software integration platforms, on-site testing, in close collaboration with his manager • Define & coordinate with all Subsystems the Validation method to be implemented for each project requirement, with the support of the Requirement Manager & System Engineering, in due time to export Validation constraints to Subsystems in their development process (It includes Subsystems subcontractors and suppliers) • Manage the I&V process timeline and the timely collection of Validation evidence all along project life, in close collaboration with the Requirement Manager • Define & coordinate I&V activities related to system level operational scenarios, functionalities & interfaces by leveraging Subsystems I&V activities • Pilot the optimal Testing program together with the System Testing Manager, considering the previous I&V steps performed during project execution and manage customer acceptance of I&V strategy avoiding redundant validation demonstrations • Support the compilation of all Validation evidences for System Acceptance, in close collaboration with the Requirement Manager • Support the obtention of any certification or homologation applicable to the transport system, in collaboration with the Safety Assurance Manager • Identify and schedule, in coordination with the System Engineering Manager the test that could be performed on the HN Test Bed to secure off-site Integration and Validation Performance measurements: • Validation of subsystem / system requirements (functionalities, performance and safety) • Project management satisfaction • Obtention of the Taking Over Certificates • Delivery on time Main Required Competences: Educational Requirements: Mandatory: • Graduated from Engineering school Desirable: • Electrical and mechanical diploma/degree • Electronic / Computing diploma or degree Experience: Mandatory: • Minimum 5 years in testing in identical field • Laboratory/factory/platform experience • International project experience Desirable: • Knowledgeable of railway system • Electrical power distribution system • Signaling, Communication & SCADA system • Rolling Stock system • Computing Competencies & Skills: • Global vision • Structured • Ability to understand the standards, requirements and their environment • Ability to propose innovative testing solutions • Ability to communicate and listen • English professional level • Mobility • Rigorous, good organization • Resilient The position is located in North of Israel.
