Job Description To provide assistance the technologist to ensure the smooth operation of the department. To transport and transfer patients safely and to provide assistance to patients awaiting treatment.

1. Assists technologist with patient care as directed. Sets up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed to include the use of proper isolations precautions when needed. 2. Positions patients, ensuring patient comfort and modesty 3. Provides assistance to patients in the waiting area. 4. Receives supplies and restocks storage and imaging rooms as needed. 5. Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, etc. utilizing appropriate patient transfer techniques. 6. Exhibits an awareness of ionizing radiation and time, distance and shielding. 7. Demonstrates an awareness of patient and personal safety 8. Orients patients to the environment upon their arrival. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
