Job Highlights The laboratory at UAB Hospital-Highlands is a fast-paced, generalist laboratory environment supporting inpatient, outpatient, ER, and surgical services. You’ll have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, and molecular testing. You’ll work in a collaborative, team-focused setting that provides broad clinical exposure and strong technical development. This role is a great fit if you want variety and hands-on experience. Job Description To perform all duties related to the preparation, distribution, cataloging, and storage of lab specimens for testing. To adhere to departmental specimen identification policies and quality controls. To utilize lab and hospital information systems and provide general administrative support to the laboratory staff in support of laboratory operations, such as filing, record maintenance, responding to client calls, and mail delivery. To serve as a technical resource to others. To orient new employees as needed. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience required.
