As a Fleet Underwriting Consultant, you’ll manage a broker portfolio by underwriting new business, managing renewals and attending broker visitations. You’ll assess moderate to complex risks, collaborate with underwriting and broker relationship teams, and build strong broker partnerships through regular communication and site visits. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney). The role offers hybrid work arrangements however you must be able to be in our Sydney office a minimum of 5 days a fortnight.
What You'll Do
• Underwrite new business and renewal submissions for motor fleet policies • Assess moderate to complex risks to ensure accurate and competitive pricing • Manage a portfolio of brokers and maintain strong, professional relationships • Collaborate with underwriting and broker relationship teams to deliver strategic outcomes • Conduct regular broker communications and site visits to strengthen partnerships • Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and service delivery
What You'll Bring
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills • Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships • Current knowledge of insurance products and industry trends • Solid technical underwriting and problem-solving capabilities • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to brokers and other stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Motor Fleet experience is beneficial but not mandatory
