About this role

As a Veterinary Diagnostic Specialist based in the North, UK, you will build strong, lasting relationships with veterinary customers to sell IDEXX’s in-house medical device diagnostics portfolio. You’ll engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions, and educational opportunities, using consultative selling techniques to translate their needs into diagnostic solutions. This is a field-based role covering the North of the UK & Ireland.

Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of this work, and our sales professionals build deep, meaningful relationships that meet each customer’s unique needs.

In This Role

You’ll act as a strategic partner for veterinary clinics, translating customer needs into diagnostic solutions and positioning IDEXX’s added value to build longer-term partnerships and a stronger customer experience. You’ll build the trust and loyalty that keep customers growing alongside IDEXX.

Your day-to-day will include:

• You’ll sell our medical devices to veterinary customers.

• You’ll educate and train veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives.

• You’ll coach and support your stakeholders in overcoming identified barriers.

• You’re continuously expanding your customer base and building long-term relationships at various levels.

• You’ll collaborate cross-functionally across the organisation to ensure a great customer experience.

What You Need to Succeed

• Several years of successful territory management experience; you think strategically, you’re self-motivated, and you take ownership of your role.

• Territory management sales experience in the veterinary/animal health industry, human healthcare medical device sales, dental device sales, and/or prior capital equipment sales.

• The ability to work well with others in a highly team-oriented, collaborative sales environment.

• Experience in consultative selling and winning new business.

• Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders.

• Fluency in English – verbal and written.

• The ability to meet the requirements of a field sales role, including but not limited to extensive car travel (company car provided), overnight travel to cover the region successfully, and flexibility for potential weekend work to attend tradeshows or other meetings.

• A veterinary or medical background that helps you understand our business is advantageous.
