The Technician FSQ 1 plays a critical role in supporting food safety, quality, and compliance within the Quality Department at Florenceville Potato. This position is responsible for conducting quality testing, maintaining accurate documentation, supporting HACCP and food safety programs, and partnering closely with Production to ensure finished products consistently meet customer and company specifications. The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing.
• Work rotating shifts and follow all safety requirements and procedures. • Complete all TQC documentation and HACCP-related procedures accurately and on time. • Conduct required testing, grading, repack, fry color, check weight, and other quality evaluations. • Monitor finished product quality to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications. • Utilize SAP for data entry and quality-related documentation. • Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order and report issues to the Quality Supervisor. • Partner closely with Production to identify, communicate, and resolve quality concerns. • Maintain accurate records, check sheets, and sanitation documentation. • Support SQCDPE targets through KPI awareness, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). • Participate in team meetings, cross-training initiatives, and other assigned duties as required. What you’ll need to be successful.
• High school diploma (Grade 12) or GED equivalent. • Basic computer skills with the ability to accurately enter and manage data. • Ability to utilize SAP or learn SAP systems and processes. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. • Ability to work effectively with plant leadership and production employees. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • Excellent attendance and reliability. • Ability to successfully complete the required 90-day training period. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements. • Willingness to work rotating shifts. About the team. The Technician FSQ 1 is a member of the Quality Department and works closely with Production, Sanitation, and Operations teams to ensure food safety, product quality, and customer satisfaction objectives are met. Compensation Package: - Starting at 26.17 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
