Manufacturing Systems Engineer (MES) Location: Meriden, CT Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire Pay: $50-$60/hr Position Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation systems, and production applications within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position will partner with operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and IT teams to ensure critical production systems remain reliable, compliant, and optimized for manufacturing performance. Responsibilities
• Provide technical support for MES, manufacturing automation, and production information systems. • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing system issues to support uninterrupted production. • Support MES functionality including workflows, data collection, equipment integration, and production records. • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and OEE. • Assist with equipment commissioning, startup activities, and system upgrades. • Support integration between MES, ERP systems, and shop floor equipment. • Develop and maintain production dashboards, reports, and manufacturing metrics. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges. • Support electronic batch records (EBR), electronic device history records (eDHR), and manufacturing documentation systems. • Provide training and technical guidance to manufacturing personnel. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. • 3+ years supporting MES or manufacturing systems in a production environment. • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology. • Experience with industrial automation and manufacturing control systems. • Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills. • Ignition Platform • Wonderware / AVEVA Historian • SQL Server, SSRS, Stored Procedures, and SQL Queries • PLC/HMI interfaces • Manufacturing reporting and analytics • ERP integration experience • OPC-UA and Ethernet/IP communications • VB.NET or VB6 experience Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Meriden, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
