What You'll Do As a Medical Assistant, you'll be an essential part of the care team, helping ensure patients receive exceptional service and quality care from check-in to follow-up. Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and room patients for examinations and procedures • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient concerns • Assist providers with exams, treatments, and minor procedures • Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as permitted • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens • Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and medical equipment • Maintain accurate patient records within EMR/EHR systems • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow-up care • Verify insurance information and assist with referrals and prior authorizations • Communicate with patients regarding test results, treatment plans, and appointment reminders • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control standards, and clinical protocols • Support daily office operations while delivering an outstanding patient experience What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
• Medical Assistant certification, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or equivalent clinical experience • Previous experience in a physician practice, clinic, medical office, or healthcare setting • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures • Experience obtaining and documenting patient vital signs • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and general computer applications Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Pulmonary, Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or another specialty practice • CMA, RMA, or equivalent credential • Experience with insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations • Familiarity with Epic or other electronic medical record systems • Bilingual skills are a plus Why Join Us?

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwich, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
