Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob DescriptionA leading commercial construction firm seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects in the Newport News/Hampton Roads market. This individual will manage all field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has successfully managed projects in the $10M-$15M range and possesses strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities • Oversee all field operations for construction projects. • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow. • Maintain and adhere to project schedules. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. • Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining high quality. • Lead and manage projects valued between $10M-$15M. • Manage multiple subcontractors and complex project schedules. • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Essential Skills • 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction. • Proven experience leading projects valued between $10M-$15M. • Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods. • Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Valid driver's license and ability to work on-site full-time. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with ground-up commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or public-sector projects. • OSHA 30 certification. • First Aid/CPR certification. • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
