About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to be part of the Integrated Single Point of Access (SPA) in Worcester which also supports the countywide Hospital at Home service.

This role will be integral in supporting the coordination and development of the countywide H@H service as well as supporting the other administrative work in the integrated SPA.

The SPA also continues to grow and develop and the post holder will be part of the administrative workforce within this integrated SPA and be involved in the operational growth and development of this service.

We require flexible and adaptable candidates who are able to manage a busy and varied workload across the H@H and SPA services to support a seamless delivery of administrative support to support the urgent delivery of services to professionals and patients.

You will be based at Kings Court 2 in Worcester and expected to work shifts across a seven day week to cover the operating hours of 0730-20:00.

Main duties of the job

You will be required to provide administrative support for the H@H and Integrated SPA services.

You must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills. You will be required to record information in spreadsheets to enable data and activity within the H@H & Community SPA to be analysed and presented by the Operational Lead.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Recent, relevant experience in an Administrative/Secretarial/ Reception Role.

Desirable

Previous, relevant NHS experience.

Skills and Abilities Essential

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats. Good level of literacy and numeracy. Standard IT skills. Good organisational skills.

Additional Criteria Essential

Willingness to commit to continuing professional development. Professional manner as a representative of the Trust. Tact and discretion for dealing with confidential information. Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of office procedures. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook. Understanding of the Data Protection Act and NHS Code of Confidentiality.

Qualifications Essential

Educated to academic Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a Business Administration-related subject or Considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
