About this role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Real Time Systems Development Engineer to join our Simulator Development Team within the Simulation and Vehicle Modelling Group, in close collaboration with the Control Systems Group. You’ll play a key part in the development and evolution of real time and HIL systems, such as our Gearbox Dyno and DIL Simulator. This is a highly collaborative role combining technical expertise with real-world performance impact. Support the ongoing development of the team’s Gearbox dyno and DIL simulator. Develop, integrate, and maintain power unit, driveline, hydraulics and vehicle models for real-time use. Apply correlation techniques to identify and resolve issues. Work on real-time and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation solutions. Develop and improve simulation and controls solutions to enhance the HIL’s fidelity. Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools for setup, diagnostics, data display, simulation, and analysis. Collaborate proactively across departments, contributing effectively to technical reviews. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies, and industry best practice.
