About this role

As a Skills Development Partner at CFC, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact development initiatives that strengthen capability and drive performance across the business. Working closely with the Head of Talent & Development and the wider team, you will help translate strategy into practical, engaging solutions that build both individual and organisational capability. This is a hands-on role focused on programme delivery, learning design, capability building and career architecture, with a strong emphasis on embedding talent and development practices into day-to-day business activity. You will contribute across leadership development, performance, skills and workforce capability initiatives, helping to create high-quality development experiences and frameworks that support both individual growth and organisational effectiveness. You will also partner with the Talent Development Partner to design and deliver management training on core leadership topics, including goal setting, feedback, performance conversations, and effective team management. Training should be practical, relevant, and directly applicable to day-to-day management responsibilities. Lead the design and delivery of sales capability programmes across client-facing teams, strengthening commercial performance and supporting revenue growth. Partner with commercial leaders to identify critical skills and embed clear capability standards within career frameworks. Ensure all programmes reflect market dynamics, broker needs, and CFC's strategic priorities, managing external partners where appropriate. Use data and insights to measure impact, refine programme delivery, and maintain regulatory and professional standards. Own and continuously develop CFC's career and skills framework, ensuring it supports performance, development, and career progression. Translate capability frameworks into clear and practical development pathways, embedding skills data into talent and workforce planning processes. Lead the design of high-impact learning experiences, leveraging modern learning methodologies and AI-enabled solutions. Foster a strong learning culture and use engagement insights to inform targeted development initiatives. Partner with senior stakeholders to align development priorities with business objectives and drive adoption across the organisation. Define success measures and continuously evaluate and refine programmes to deliver measurable business impact. Support the design, implementation and ongoing evolution of CFC's job architecture, ensuring role profiles, career pathways and capability frameworks support business growth and organisational effectiveness. Partner with HR, business leaders and Talent teams to define role families, job levels, critical skills and progression criteria across the organisation. Ensure job architecture and skills frameworks are integrated into talent management, succession planning, workforce planning and career development and hiring activity. Use skills and capability data to identify workforce gaps, inform development priorities and support strategic talent decisions. Drive a skills-based approach to talent and development, creating greater visibility of capability requirements, career mobility opportunities and future workforce needs.
