About this role

Job summary

The Data Performance Analyst will provide data analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting support for operations at Manston STHF. The role involves collecting, interpreting, and presenting data to inform decision-making, drive operational efficiency, and support the organisations continuous improvement agenda. The post-holder will work closely with the Senior Management Team and operational staff to ensure data-driven insights underpin operational planning and service delivery.

Main duties of the job

Collect, validate, and analyse operational and performance data to spot risks, trends, and improvement opportunitiesProduce accurate reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support management decision-makingTrack KPIs against organisational targets (including Home Office, efficiency, and quality standards), flagging deviations and recommending corrective actionEnsure data integrity and compliance with GDPR, Caldicott principles, and internal governance policySupport audits, inspections, and performance reviews with accurate documentationAct as the main point of contact for performance data queries, translating insights for technical and non-technical stakeholdersProvide first-line IT support system training, troubleshooting, and escalation and maintain IT asset registers and security incident reporting

Support new system rollouts and help teams resolve day-to-day technical issues affecting service delivery

Job description Job responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

Collect, collate, and validate operational and performance data from multiple sources. Analyse data trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Produce timely and accurate reports, dashboards, and visualisations for management. Support strategic and operational decision-making through data insights.

Performance Monitoring

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organisational objectives.Supports site KPIs by providing accurate and timely performance data, analysing trends to identify operational risks and opportunities, and delivering actionable insights that enable teams to meet Home Office, efficiency, and quality targets. Identify deviations from performance targets and recommend corrective actions. Support operational teams in using performance data to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure data integrity and compliance with GDPR, Caldicott principles, and internal policies. Support internal audits, inspections, and performance reviews. Maintain accurate records and documentation of analyses, reports, and findings.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with operational staff and management to understand data requirements. Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Act as a point of contact for queries regarding performance data and reporting.

IT Support

Provide guidance and basic training to staff on IT systems Assist staff with new system implementations and upgrades. Maintain IT equipment inventories, asset registers, and associated records, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, updated, and verified through routine audits to support ongoing compliance. Monitor and report security incidents or potential breaches. Support the management team in ensuring site delivery remains compliant with cybersecurity standards, GDPR requirements, and local information governance policies through consistent adherence to established procedures and controls. Maintain operational systems such as SONAR and other site relevant IT platforms, ensuring smooth workflow and managing any technical issues from initial identification through to resolution, including escalation to the appropriate IT providers or support teams. Work collaboratively with operational teams to identify, prioritise, and resolve IT issues impacting clinical and non-clinical service delivery.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Competent in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive data. Commitment to DrPA Secures values and ethos.

Desirable

Experience in secure, operational, or public sector environments. Knowledge of performance management frameworks and KPIs. Familiarity with operational audits, compliance, and service improvement initiatives. Experience in database management or reporting software.
