St Catherines Hospice is a respected local charity providing specialist hospice care alongside statutory service partners (GPs, District nursing etc) across West Sussex and East Surrey.

Main duties of the job
This post is offered permanent, full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8/8.30am - 4/4.30pm.
Please note, the successful candidate will be an essential car user, therefore candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This role works across our hospice services, including the Inpatient Unit, Community settings and the Wellbeing Centre, supporting patients to maintain comfort, function and quality of life.
We are seeking a confident communicator and leader to work with the team ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately and to a consistently high standard.
Senior Physiotherapy role brings:
High standards of holistic and individualised patient care, embracing the hospice's vision and values Assess, plan and implement a wide range of interventions Plan, deliver and evaluate physiotherapyled exercise and education groups within the Wellbeing Centre Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of interventions
Person Specification
Attitude and Behaviours Essential

Qualifications Essential
Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy State Registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) Evidence of post registration education Current driving licence and use of a car

Membership of ACPOPC Appropriate palliative care qualification
Experience Essential
Minimum of 2 years post registration experience Experience of working with palliative care, oncology, neurology, community or care of the elderly patients. Sound knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions Ability to plan, implement and evaluate care Good communication skills, both oral and written Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Organisation skills: to organise self and workload IT skills and a willingness to undertake supportive training to use Electronic medical notes, Teams. Ability to supervise, students and volunteers. Knowledge of clinical governance and its application Ability to mentor junior team members/ teaching skills Ability to motivate others Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment Ability to demonstrate awareness of hospice and national developments related to practice
Desirable
Specialist palliative care experience Formal presentation and teaching skills Supervisory and appraisal skills Equipment assessment and provision experience
