POSTING Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Location: Outpatient Offices (must be flexible to work in multiple locations) About the Role We are seeking a Float Registration Specialist to support outpatient clinics by ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate registration processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys helping teams where needed. Onboarding includes Cerner training and shadowing with other registration float employees to learn multiple office workflows. Key Responsibilities · Facilitate patient flow from entry to destination in a timely, professional manner · Obtain and verify financial and demographic information for accurate billing and clinical outcomes · Schedule appointments and procedures · Interview patients for medical information and explain charges and policies · Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems; collect necessary payments · Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately Top Skills Needed for Success · Customer Service · Team Player · Positive Attitude · Compassion · Healthcare experience Culture This role supports short-staffed clinics, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Training & Success · Initial training onsite with experienced team members · Expected to work independently within 3 months Qualifications · High School Diploma/GED required · Prefer relevant experience in a healthcare setting · Ability to learn and retain medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred · Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred · Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
