We are looking for a highly skilled and agile Controls & Automation Engineer to join our teams that serve Industrial clients in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries. This Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems and automation solutions for our clients manufacturing processes at their Iowa City Plant. This position requires a strong understanding of control theory, automation technologies, and the ability to integrate intelligent systems to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and safety. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and the curiosity to solve hard problems as you will be in a leadership role defining business priorities and developing solutions. What You will Do: · Control System Design: Develop and implement control strategies for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. · Automation Development: Design and program automation solutions using PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control technologies to streamline operations and improve productivity. · Intelligent Systems Integration: Implement advanced data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven solutions to enhance process control and decision-making. · Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance, to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives. · System Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of existing control systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. · Documentation, Training, and Compliance: Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals, while providing training and support to plant personnel on new systems and technologies. Ensure all automation systems adhere to industry standards and regulations, fostering a culture of safety in engineering practices.

• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest controls engineering techniques and technologies. What You Will Bring:

• BS/MS in Engineering. Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree preferred. • Process and/or Machine Control experience (Mandatory) • Proven experience with PackML machine control standards (Mandatory) • Proven expertise with sensors, motors, PLC’s, and industrial automation • 2-3+ years of professional experience in relevant technologies with collaboration across teams/organizations • Experience in packaging automation (CPG Industry) • Experience with Rockwell Control Logix platforms • Experience with computer and industrial networks • Experience with U-Pack control panels Pay Range: $60000 – $80000 Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan. Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in IOWA City/United States

• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Travel requirements: This role is based at our client’s plants at Iowa City, and will require some (~5-10%) occasional domestic travel to other manufacturing sites.
