• Serve as the technical expert on annealing processes and vacuum furnace operations across the organization. • Provide guidance on best practices, process optimization, and troubleshooting for vacuum heat treatment. • Analyze furnace performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure process consistency and efficiency. • Oversee troubleshooting of vacuum furnaces and associated equipment to ensure optimal functionality. • Work closely with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance plans and minimize downtime. • Ensure that all annealing processes meet internal and external quality standards, including customer and regulatory requirements. • Train and mentor operators, engineers, and other team members on vacuum furnace operations and best practices. • Diagnose and resolve issues related to vacuum furnace operations, such as temperature uniformity, vacuum leaks, or material inconsistencies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and implement solutions. What You Will Bring:
• 20+ years of aerospace experience in shop floor and vacuum furnace environments • Computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Experience with AS 9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards • Experience with a Continuous Improvement System i.e. Lean, ACE, Six Sigma, etc. • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate best practices in a mentoring environment Pay Range: $80/hour - $100/hour Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan. Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NY.
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required. Citizenship Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
