Your Impact Reporting to the Lead, Social Performance, we are seeking a motivated individual to support the delivery of site-based community relations programs at Tanami. As the Community Relation, Team Lead In this role, you will assist with the execution of engagement activities, monitor program effectiveness, and contribute to regular reporting to ensure strong, transparent relationships with local communities and stakeholders
As Part of Our Team, You Will
• Plan, implement, and track stakeholder engagement activities to strengthen Tanami’s social license to operate and build meaningful community connections. • Support compliance with Social Performance policies, standards, and procedures across site operations. • Coordinate community visits and travel to communities monthly. • Support the ITFP participants • Collaborate with internal teams to develop, measure, and deliver an integrated Social Performance Plan. • Guide and support Indigenous mentoring programs, focusing on recruitment, retention, cultural safety, leadership coaching, and individual mentoring. • Partner with HR and Training teams to deliver and enhance cross-cultural awareness programs on site. • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Tanami’s Cultural Heritage Management Plan through stakeholder feedback and engagement. • Assist with social impact management initiatives, including data collection and analysis to assess community perceptions, reputation, and program effectiveness
Prerequisites for your success in this role
• Professional degree in Social Sciences, Community Relations, Indigenous Studies, Sustainability, or a related field preferred. • Experience working in remote communities is an advantage • Strong capabilities in stakeholder management, negotiation, cultural heritage management, and project management. • Proficiency in social performance management, social impact assessment and human rights practices. • Familiarity with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. • Ability to apply appropriate tools and processes to deliver defined business outcomes effectively.
