What You'll Do As a Senior Analyst within BCG's Travel Cities and Infrastructure (TCI) and Capital Projects Excellence (CPEx) Practice Areas (PAs), you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized tools (digital products, methodologies, knowledge, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data, and related expertise, etc.). You will be part of BCG Vantage, a network of experienced consultants who leverage deep domain expertise to deliver insight for case teams and clients. Vantage members are affiliated with BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda, and build and deploy leading-edge IP, data, and tools to support that work. You will contribute to cases and proposals by developing relevant analysis and insights for clients, and support business development and go-to-market efforts for both PAs through research and marketing analysis as opportunities arise. This includes travel to client sites during staffing assignments to understand requirements and design/develop solutions. You will support cases, business development, and commercialization efforts, working alongside business leaders, through activities such as: Leading process improvement initiatives in Capital Projects. Creating capital portfolio governance strategies. Analyzing and optimizing engineering processes for greater efficiency and quality. Implementing process standardization and continuous improvement methodologies. Collaborating with engineering and construction teams to ensure process alignment with business goals. Monitoring process performance metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed.
What You'll Bring
• 1-2+ years of consulting experience in construction, engineering, process improvement or implementation related field strongly preferred, ideally including a role with an EPC, General contractor or Project Management Consultancy (PMC) — e.g., site supervision, procurement review or vendor coordination • In lieu of consulting experience, 2+ years minimum relevant industry experience required; 3-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred) in a relevant field such as engineering or industrial management • Strong experience with construction and engineering process management and improvement, including working knowledge of civil/structural drawings, BOQs, project controls, scheduling and site documentation • Experience with cost control, scheduling, risk management and field operations • Analytical and data driven skills • Fluency in English • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Who You'll Work With As a SA, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
