What we are looking for
• Several years of Python experience in production, and you stayed long enough to live. with what you built.
• You know how a relational database works underneath the ORM: query planning,. indexing, what costs time to serve.
• You can look at a large codebase and judge what to pull apart, what to leave. duplicated and what to delete.
• When something is slow you measure it before you guess.. • You explain your thinking clearly enough that someone with less experience can follow it and argue against it.. • Fluency in English.
Specific experience requirements
Required - Expertise in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and AWS.
Ideal - Experience with charts and other drawing-heavy work, infrastructure-as-code, React, or anything you have built in public.
