CALL FOR STUDENT MEMBERS: GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE

Are you passionate about leadership, accountability, and decision-making at the highest level? Do you want to help shape the governance of your student association?

Join the CCSAI Governance Committee!

The Governance Committee is a standing committee of the Centennial College Student Association Inc. that oversees CCSAI’s bylaws, policies, and governance structures. This is your opportunity to:

• Learn how organizations are structured and governed

• Gain first-hand experience with bylaws development and strategic oversight

• Participate in governance training and support Board development

• Make a real impact on how CCSAI operates

What You’ll Do as a Committee Member:

• Review and recommend changes to CCSAI’s bylaws and governance policies

• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of CCSAI’s governance framework

• Ensure compliance with legal and best-practice standards (including ONCA)

• Support Board member orientation and governance training initiatives

• Participate in monthly meetings and engage in key decisions

• Receive a monthly honorarium of $100 for your participation

Who Can Apply:

• Any full-time Centennial College student with at least two semesters remaining in their program

• Priority will be given to individuals who have prior leadership experience; however, training and mentorship will be provided. Interest in governance, leadership, or public service is an asset.

-We are hiring for a current vacancy.

-Members cannot hold dual roles at CCSAI; if you hold a role as a committee member, you cannot hold another role within CCSAI at the same time.

-We are accepting student observers as well who are willing to participate in our governance directly. If the student isn’t selected to be a voting member on the committee, they can expect optional invites to governance meetings as an observer.
