Job Title: Engagement Staff: Street Team
Duration/Term Length: 1 Academic Semester
Work Hours: Hours may fluctuate –-around 10 hours a month with the opportunity for staff can pick up shifts when events occur. The shifts could include event prep, event execution and clean up. Shift availability may vary occasionally as there are seasons that require heavier programming.
Location: All Campuses; Some Remote Work
Specific Duties:
- Monitor & engages with students as an organization representative on digital connection
platforms including, but not limited to, MS Teams, Zoom, Social Networks, etc.
- Act as a student ambassador for CCSAI by raising awareness of and promoting CCSAI programs,
services, and activities & assists in the promotion of CCSAI offerings to students across
Centennial college.
- Supports the delivery of events, clubs and engagement activities across all Centennial College
Campuses. These tasks could include (but are not limited to): sign in/registration, traffic control,
coat check, facilitating conversations with attendees, overseeing food distribution, participating
in filming/social content, etc. Please note that staff won’t be required to do all the tasks above
and tasks will also vary from event to event. There will be a lot of opportunities to try new roles.
- Maintain up to date poster boards around campuses, including the posting and removal of all
CCSAI posters on a weekly basis
- As directed by management, will be expected to attend certain CCSAI day and/or night events to
engage students with live social media content.
- Program and host event pre-shows as required by CCSAI Events Team.
- Execution of classroom visits
- Liaise and communicate with relevant CCSAI & Centennial College staff members, partners &
stakeholders part-time staff regularly.
-Attends meetings and/or trainings that are scheduled throughout the term
Qualifications
• Involvement at Centennial College is considered an asset.
• Effective time management and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to be professional and respectful at all times
• Advance understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Including but not limited to, Sharepoint, Excel,
Powerpoint, MS Teams, Outlook, etc.
• Social Media promotions & marketing experience is an asset.
• Takes initiative, brings new ideas and willing to try new things.
Eligibility
• Must be enrolled as a full-time student for the current semester
• Demonstrate a good academic standing
• Must have a Social Insurance Number
• Available for up to 5 hours a week (Monday – Friday)
