Kenilworth & Warwick Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and patient-focused Paramedic to join our growing multidisciplinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to work at an advanced level within primary care, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and care for patients across our PCN. As part of our commitment to delivering accessible, proactive, and patient-centred healthcare, you will play a key role in supporting both urgent and planned care services within the community.

Working alongside GPs, nurses, pharmacists, care coordinators, and other allied health professionals, you will help provide timely interventions, improve patient outcomes, and reduce health inequalities across our population.

Job description Job responsibilities

As a Paramedic within the PCN, you will:

Assess, triage, diagnose and manage patients presenting with undifferentiated and complex conditions.

Undertake urgent and same-day home visits remotely supported by GPs.

Provide same-day assessment and treatment for patient with both acute and semi- acute illnesses working within GP practices.

Deliver holistic patient care, promoting self-management and preventative healthcare.

Support patients with both acute and long-term conditions through evidence-based interventions.

Perform clinical assessments and investigations, where appropriate.

Develop and support anticipatory care planning for vulnerable and frail patients.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centred care.

Support quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service development across the PCN.

Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional, clinical, and governance standards.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Degree/Diploma in Paramedic Science or equivalent qualification. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Completion of the two-year Consolidation of Learning period as a newly qualified paramedic. Minimum of three years' experience working as a Band 6 (or equivalent) Paramedic.

Desirable

Independent Prescribing qualification or working towards this. Evidence of developing Advanced Clinical Practice capabilities (Level 7).

Experience Essential

Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills. Ability to manage risk, uncertainty, and complex clinical presentations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care.

Desirable

Experience working within General Practice, Community Services, Urgent Care, or Primary Care settings.
