Coventry & Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care (CWIPC) is seeking an exceptional Non-Executive Director (NED) to join our Board and help shape the future of integrated primary care across Coventry and Warwickshire. Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Primary Care brings together all four General Practice scale providers to deliver Primary Care at scale across our system.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to influence strategic decisions, strengthen governance, and ensure that patients remain at the heart of everything we do.
Main duties of the job
As a Non-Executive Director, you'll play a pivotal role in helping CWIPC:
Deliver outstanding, patient-centred primary care services
Drive innovation and transformation across the health system
Ensure strong governance, accountability and financial stewardship
Support collaboration across general practice, NHS organisations and system partners
Champion equality, diversity and inclusion
Your independent perspective will help shape decisions that improve healthcare for hundreds of thousands of people across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Working alongside our Chair, Executive Directors and Board colleagues, you will:
Provide strategic leadership and independent oversight Constructively challenge and support executive decision-making Monitor organisational performance, quality and patient safety Ensure robust governance, risk management and regulatory compliance Scrutinise financial performance and stewardship of public funds Promote a positive organisational culture and staff wellbeing Represent the interests of patients, communities and stakeholdersWork Location: Hybrid remote in Leamington Spa
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Significant leadership or board-level experience Excellent strategic thinking and sound judgement The confidence to provide independent challenge and support Strong communication and influencing skills A commitment to public service, integrity and good governance
Desirable
Experience within healthcare or primary care Financial, clinical, legal or regulatory expertise Understanding of the NHS and integrated care systems
Other Essential
Time Commitment Approximately one day per month Attendance at Board meetings and occasional strategic or operational meetings
