Job summary

Are you a caring, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nursing Associate looking for a role where you can make a real difference to patients every day? Join our Dermatology team and become part of a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking service at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).

As a Band 4 Registered Nursing Associate (RNA), you will play an important role in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care to patients with a wide range of dermatological conditions. Working alongside registered nurses, doctors and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessment, treatment, patient education and ongoing care.

Job description Job responsibilities

As a Band 4 Registered Nursing Associate in Dermatology, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a range of dermatological conditions, working closely with registered nurses, medical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care; undertake clinical observations and assessments; assist with treatments and procedures; provide wound and skin care; support patient education and promote self-management. You will maintain accurate records, recognise and escalate changes in a patient's condition, and contribute to a safe, clean and effective clinical environment.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and reliable, with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork. You will need to demonstrate initiative, sound clinical judgement and a commitment to the NNUH PRIDE values. A willingness to learn and develop specialist dermatology knowledge is essential.

You will be trusted to make decisions within your scope of practice, for example:

Prioritising your workload and deciding the most appropriate order in which to deliver planned patient care. Recognising changes in a patient's skin condition or clinical observations and deciding when to seek advice or escalate concerns. Identifying appropriate wound/skin care interventions within your competence and adapting care according to the patient's needs and treatment plan.
