Job summary
Amersham Theatres are looking for a Theatre Support Worker to join our growing team. As an elective surgery site for the trust, we support operations from several specialties, including Plastic surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Oculo-Plastic surgery.
You will be supporting the care of patients undergoing local-anaesthetic operations under the direction of a registered nurse (RN) or operating department practitioner (ODP) and contribute to their support. Successful candidates will support theatre practitioners in the delivery of patient-focused care in our clinical surgical teams.
If shortlisted, you will be required to undertake an assessment, that should take approximately 15 minutes.
Main duties of the job
Participate in circulating duties under the supervision of trained theatre staff collect sets and instruments for operating lists Maintain stock levels in the theatre and preparation areas Work as a member of the theatre team Carry out date checks on sterile instruments report any discrepancies

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING Essential
GCSE A-C or Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1 or 2)

Care Certificate in healthcare (Level 3)
