Job SummaryYou will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Operations Department of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

QualificationsGS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in waterfront Nuclear Work Packaging and Control (NWPC), specifically managing work release, execution, and final certification processes. Experience handling and processing Technical Work Documents (TWDs), including managing Deficiency Reports and Logs. Experience utilizing specialized naval maintenance tools such as AIM, AIM EP, SPETT, MRQT, MAT, ATIS, JEDMICS, and CITIS. Experience liaising across diverse organizations, including production shops, project leadership, and engineering teams, to manage Work Packaging products. Experience resolving scheduling conflicts and actively collaborating during high-level project meetings. Experience partnering with Project Material Managers (PMM) and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to successfully resolve material issues. Major DutiesYou will develop project work packaging strategies for execution of work on complex overhauls.You will reviews lessons learned from precedent pro­jects to incorporate productivity and work packaging improvements.You will manage the work packaging function, ensuring prob­lems are resolved and delays are overcome for all as­pects of work packaging and job preparation.You will review material request forms as necessary, verifies status including delivery dates and location of materi­al, occasionally contacts ·suppliers to locate needed material and secure prices.
