QualificationsIn addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Providing non-clinical support to adult victims of sexual assault and sexual harassment. 2. Supporting sexual harassment victims by assessing their needs, providing crisis intervention, and helping resolve complex problems. 3. Applying sexual assault prevention principles and local community resources to provide direct, one-on-one advocacy and support to victims. 4. Utilizing professional communication and strong interpersonal skills to build trust and support military personnel and families of diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. 5. Collaborating with military and civilian medical, social service, law enforcement and legal personnel on behalf of sexual assault victims. Major DutiesYou will be facilitating care and providing non-clinical support to adult victims of a sexual assault and sexual harassment.You will assessing safety concerns, reporting options and resources, self-advocacy, assist with navigating the processes to obtain care and services needed, establish short- and long-term goals for sexual assault recovery, and facilitate referrals.You will assist victims reporting sexual harassment to address any immediate safety needs, understand their sexual assault reporting options (as applicable), and identify any behavioral health or other services that may be helpful.You will accompany victims to appointments, investigator interviews, and civilian and military court proceedings, as appropriate and when requested by the victim.You will be assisting the installation Sexual Assault Response Coordinator in the development and delivery of comprehensive sexual harassment training.
