Edmond de Rothschild (Europe) recherche un ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT FUND DEPOSITARY BANK OFFICER (M/F) Poste CDI, basé à Luxembourg, Temps plein MISSION PRINCIPALE Edmond de Rothschild (Europe) acts as Depositary Bank for a wide range of UCIs across various client segments both within the field of traditional and alternative investment funds. Our mission is to provide investor protection through the safekeeping and / or recordkeeping of the Funds' assets, overseeing the general administration of the Funds, and monitoring the cash accounts of the Funds. In this context, the Depositary Bank is seeking an officer in the field of alternative investment funds. Given the complex nature of certain of our fund structures and the diversity of the asset classes in-scope, a proven experience of the AIFMD regime from a theoretical and practical perspective is a must. This is a multifaceted position where collaboration, effective communication, and attention to details make the difference at the end of the day. ACTIVITES As a Depositary Officer within our Alternative Funds' team, your main responsibilities will be to: - Perform the record-keeping and ownership verification based on supporting documentation with the application of the look-through principle. - Perform cashflow monitoring daily, including reconciliation of fund's records with timely escalation of exceptions in line with internal procedures. - Perform depositary oversight duties over fund managers and fund's delegated services providers including due diligence. - Contribute to the fund risk assessments with regards to the funds' strategies and their complexity and prepare and present reporting for internal and external use. - Participate in the coordination of projects, requests for proposals, audits and holding confirmation campaigns - Support the team and the department in maintaining efficient work and ensure that the procedures and controls comply with applicable laws PROFIL As a candidate for the role, you offer: • University degree Bac +3/5 in economics, management, accounting or relevant experience, ideally supplemented with training in the field of depositary duties and / or the fund industry overall with emphasis on alternative funds • +3 years' experience in similar position • Broad fund industry knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of the Depositary. Knowledge of AIF structures and alternative assets classes • Critical thinking, problem solving approach, and self-organized coupled with a « can do » attitude. An ability to connect different elements together, and manage various risks effectively • High and constant levels of commitment, attention to detail and equally comfortable working independently or within a team. Ability to coordinate work across multiple disciplines, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines • Excellent communication skills i.e. able to articulate complex issues. Working proficiency in French required since being the corporate language of the Bank • Computer literacy consists of strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications, particularly in Excel, knowledge of eFront being an asset • The concept of value of diversity and inclusion at the Bank, as to promote a culture where anyone can realize its full potential, and bring its true, authentic self to work • Fluent in English and French
