Salary: £37,000 - 46,000 per year
Requirements: Proven leadership experience managing and developing Data Engineering or similar technical teams within complex business environments.Extensive experience designing, delivering and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms, pipelines and integration solutions, with a proven track record delivering successful data transformation initiatives.Strong technical expertise in Azure, Databricks, T-SQL and modern cloud-based data technologies, with a solid understanding of data architecture, integration patterns and governance principles.Demonstrated ability to develop technical roadmaps and translate strategic goals into delivery plans, while effectively managing stakeholders, third-party suppliers and multiple data sources.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, develop and engage both technical and non-technical teams.Proven stakeholder management skills, building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes across all levels of the organisation.A strategic and commercially minded approach, able to translate business objectives into effective technical solutions and priorities.Highly organised and adaptable, with excellent planning, decision-making and problem-solving skills in fast-paced and evolving environments. Responsibilities: Lead and evolve our Data Engineering function, ensuring the right people, processes, platforms and capabilities are in place to deliver business value.Own and deliver our Data Engineering roadmap, partnering with senior stakeholders to align priorities with organisational objectives and future growth.Drive the design, delivery and optimisation of scalable, secure and resilient data platforms, pipelines and integrations that enable trusted, data-driven decision making.Provide technical and people leadership, establishing engineering standards and best practices while coaching and developing a high-performing team.Champion innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement, enhancing automation, governance and engineering maturity while fostering strong relationships across business and technology teams.
