About this role

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionAs an assembler, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling a variety of different assemblies and supporting hardware. This role requires a strong understanding of assembly techniques and proficiency in using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. You will be tasked with reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine the method and sequence of operations, as well as maintaining accurate inventory. Responsibilities • Assemble and calibrate production parts. • Locate and interpret assembly drawings, ATPs, specifications, and work instructions. • Complete necessary paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets, and forms for shipments. • Lift materials (minimum of 30 lbs.) and test manifolds. • Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives, and sealants as per specifications. • Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, and finish parts using templates and hand tools. • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and requirements, including shipping details. • Meet customer and company goals of quality, OTIF, and costs. • Use E10 transactions and job-related dashboards, including part and job tracker. • Assemble multiple products in a cell or across multiple lines. • Inspect all final products for compliance with customer requirements. • Assist team in evaluating trends of labor standards, costs, and process improvements. Essential Skills • 1-2 years of manufacturing assembly experience required; 3+ years preferred in a regulated industry (aerospace). • Strong technical and mechanical ability. • Basic computer skills. • Good interpersonal skills. • Ability to meet deadlines and plan accordingly. • Experience with Continuous Improvement. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High School diploma or GED. • Team and individually goal-oriented. • Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening. • Must take medical exams required by law for occupation-specific activities. • May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual. Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes a swing shift from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. The role involves hooking up parts to a regulator using wrenches and connecting a hose, which takes place in a slightly noisy area. You will also need to read data from a computer to record test data. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Tempe, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
