About this role

The St. Augustine Campus is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the post of Director of the St. Augustine Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (StACIE). The Director is expected to be an innovative individual, able to work with the Campus community in identifying R&D opportunities for IP creation and commercialisation, and effectively familiar with international donor agencies.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must possess at minimum, a Master’s degree from a recognised university, which should be in Business Administration, Law, Science or Engineering or a closely related field, with an emphasis on Technology Creation and/or Management.

Candidates should also possess:

Ideally at least five (5) years’ experience in management or administration of complex projects across different disciplines Extensive experience and success in the leadership of research administration and management across multiple disciplines Proven expertise in knowledge transfer, project monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management A strong record of strategy and policy development to engage major regional/international donors in Public/Private-University partnerships for knowledge creation and transfer

Candidates with experience in commercialisation of intellectual property would have an advantage.

The following would be considered assets:

PhD in Business Administration, Law, Science or Engineering or a closely related field, with an emphasis on Technology Creation and/or Management A substantial record of relevant research and publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals
