Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated individual to join our team as a Staff Nurse!
Ward 4B is a surgical ward with a surgical admission unit and elective admission area.

Main duties of the job
Assisting in the delivery of patient-centred and clinically effective care as part of a dynamic team. You should be caring, compassionate, well organised with a positive attitude towards change and flexibility.
We offer full training and preceptorship periods for newly qualified nursing staff.

Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.

1st Level Registered Nurse (degree/diploma) Current NMC Registration Evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge Essential
Able to demonstrate knowledge of NMC professional standards for practice contained within the code Experience of working in a clinical environment Understand requirements for NMC professional Revalidation Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team An understanding of national, regional and local NHS issues Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information
