Student Admin Assistant Vehicle Desk
Job Description: 95% - State Vehicle Upkeep Assistance • Drop off and pick up vehicles for maintenance. • Take vehicles through car wash, vacuum and light clean interiors. • Refuel vehicles as needed. • Assist in the check-in/check-out process for vehicle keys. • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents. 5% - Other Duties as Assigned

Required Qualifications: • Professional experience requiring basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, as evidenced by application materials.
Preferred Qualifications: • Professional experience with vehicle maintenance, as evidenced by application materials. • Professional experience with data entry, as evidenced by application materials. • Professional experience requiring the use of Microsoft Excel, as evidenced by application materials.
Position Overview: The Kansas Geological Survey (KGS) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented student to support general administrative tasks and assist in the maintenance and coordination of KGS state vehicles. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the day-to-day operations of a vital research organization.
This student position has flexible hours, 10-15 hours per week, during business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday). This position is located on-site at the Lawrence, KS, west campus.
This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform light physical tasks related to vehicle upkeep with or without reasonable accommodation. A valid driver's license is required.

Position Requirements: **During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
