Maintenance Mechanic Helper
Job Description: "APPLICANTS/ASSOCIATES TENTATIVELY SELECTED FOR A TDP WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO URINALYSIS TO SCREEN FOR ILLEGAL DRUG USE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT/SELECTION."
Under close supervision, assists in the performance of a variety of electrical, air conditioning, carpentry, plumbing, painting and MHE maintenance.
Additional Qualifications/Requirements: HOURS : SUNDAY- THURSDAY 2300 - 0730 ( 11 P.M. - 7:30 A.M. ) *POSSIBLE ALTERNATE SCHEDULES AVAILABLE In addition to job description for a Maintenance Mechanic Helper.
• Work closely with other FMO associates to complete preventative maintenance. • Continually learn the system and its components to be able o better maintain the conveyor system.
Job Qualifications: Completion of high school or equivalent with emphasis on mechanical areas or grade school graduation preferred. Six months general work experience and six months specialized experience in some type of craft/maintenance work. Knowledge in the use of various trade tools, with one year of work in general maintenance or repair is desirable.
If a sufficient number of qualified candidates do not apply, the minimum qualifications may be lowered without reposting.
Major Duties: Maintains tools and holds materials in place. Pulls wore through partitions, hold pipe or wires in place, mixes mortar, cuts lumber to required lengths, nails, planes, makes crates and boxes, replaces screen doors and window screens, repairs loading platforms or floors, mixes paint according to instructions, assists in painting the interior and exterior of facilities and performs other similar tasks. Uses simple hand tools such as saws, places, hammers, wrenches pliers and brushes. Cleans work areas and maintains tools and equipment. As required, performs simple carpentry work, electrical work, and technical work on MHEs. May operate a motor vehicle to transport material and personnel when required. Occasionally performs more difficult work under close supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.
