About us

MMP provides NHS primary care to around 72,000 patients across 11 sites in Birmingham, so governance work directly supports the quality and safety of patient services.

MMP has a central executive board, centralised organisational functions and established clinical governance structures making it particularly relevant for someone wanting to develop their governance career.

MMP combines the benefits of a larger organisation with locally delivered GP services. This means exposure to governance across multiple practices and potentially more complex organisational issues.

MMP describes its core purpose as working within a culture of quality and continuously improving the care and service provided to patients.

The CQC has highlighted MMP's collaborative approach, strong leadership and governance arrangements, and focus on learning and improvement.

A governance role allows you to have an organisational-wide impact by helping ensure decisions, policies, risks, compliance and accountability are properly managed.
