The District is now taking applications for the following position: Piano Accompanist - McLoughlin High School & Central Middle School The Accompanist will provide support to the choral instructional program with specific responsibilities for providing accompaniment for rehearsals and performances. Under the general direction of the choir teacher, the applicant provides support that encourages successful participation in the choir program at McLoughlin High School and Central Middle School. The Accompanist will provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for providing accompaniment for rehearsals and performances MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to perform the functions of piano playing and the reading of music.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule near performance dates.
• Ability to travel occasionally for performances/competitions.
• High School Diploma is required.
EXPECTATIONS:
• Rehearse a minimum of one time a week with each choir. This will be roughly 5 hours a week and a flexible schedule. Schedule will be set in collaboration with accompanist and choir director.
• Accompanist will attend the rehearsal the day before or day of the concerts.
• Accompanist will perform for each concert
• Accompanist may be asked to travel with high school/middle school choirs for performances/competitions.
COMPENSATION: This Extra Duty Contract is for the 20265-2027 School Year. Minimum salary is $3,667.00 to $4,619.00 (Depending on Experience) SELECTION TIMELINE: Job Position Posted: August 17, 2026 Job Position Closes: open until filled.
