About this role
Cape Cod Collaborative is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support students enrolled in the STAR Program. This program serves students with significant developmental disabilities and complex learning needs. The Occupational Therapist will play a vital role in helping students develop functional skills for greater independence in school and daily life. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct assessments to identify students' sensory, motor, and functional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Provide direct therapy services in classroom and community-based settings.
• Collaborate with educators, paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers.
• Support staff in implementing sensory strategies and adaptive techniques.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress monitoring and documentation.
• Assist in the selection and use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
• Promote student engagement in meaningful activities that support learning and independence.
Qualifications
• Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with students with significant disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of sensory integration, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
• School-based and community settings within the STAR Program.
• May require physical activity and lifting to support student mobility.
• Travel between Collaborative sites may be required.
