About this role

Primary Purpose: The Delivery and Service Specialist is responsible for providing efficient district-wide delivery, warehouse, and facility support services to ensure the timely distribution of mail, materials, equipment, and supplies while assisting with the maintenance, safety, and operational readiness of district facilities. This position supports the Maintenance department by performing general facility tasks, assisting skilled trades personnel, maintaining warehouse inventory, responding to service needs, and delivering exceptional customer service to campuses and departments while ensuring compliance with district safety standards and operational procedures. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED required Maintain a valid Texas driver's license and insurable Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Ability to use maps and global positioning systems (GPS) to locate addresses and determine efficient routes for delivery Ability to use tools and equipment related to job duties Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive security information Good communication skills and customer service skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively with a strong sense of urgency Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work to work independently Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Experience: 1 year of delivery experience preferred but not required Major Responsibilities and Duties: General Responsibilities

• USPS mail pick-up and delivery district wide.

• Make daily deliveries of materials and supplies using district delivery vehicle.

• Merchandise pick-up from vendor locations

• Help load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment and assist in moving and storage of materials.

• Fill in for crossing guard in the morning and afternoon when needed.

• Help maintain inventory of maintenance and custodial supplies in the warehouse.

• Assist skilled craftsmen with repair and maintenance of district facilities, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Security.

Pest Control

• Remove unwanted pest as needed that may include but not limited to.

• Snakes, bats, rodents, wasps, and wild game

• Communicate with local pest control vendor as needed for special pest situations.

Work Orders & Documentation

• Receive, prioritize, and complete work orders in a timely manner

• Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent

• Follow up on incomplete or ongoing work orders to ensure resolution

Customer Service & Public Interaction

• Interact professionally with staff, students, vendors and the public

• Respond to security related requests and concerns in a timely manner

Safety Compliance & Protocols

• Adhere to and support compliance with all district safety procedures, emergency protocols, and state-mandated School safety standards; actively assist in maintaining readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews

• Attend and participate in general district safety meetings and trainings

• Follow all district safety procedures and emergency protocols

• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and security assessments

• Support emergency response efforts when needed

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with campus administrators, district, and department staff to address any needs

Other Duties

• Deliver School Board memos weekly to School Board members

• Set up board room for meetings and trainings.

• General building maintenance as needed

• Secure testing materials as required.

• Fill in for warehouse technician when needed.

• Observe facility grounds and alert Facilities Director or Assistant Facility Director of issues that need to be addressed by the ground's contractor.

Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs). Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. May require occasional after-hours or emergency response work
