Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Warehouse SpecialistResponsibilities
• Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Use SAP and Excel to schedule deliveries, receive materials, and update shipment and inventory records in a timely and accurate manner. • Manage parcel and freight shipments using carriers such as FedEx and UPS, including preparing labels, documentation, and tracking information. • Sit at the shipping door within the warehouse to monitor daily shipping and receiving activities and respond quickly to operational needs. • Handle hands-on packaging of products, ensuring items are packed securely and labeled correctly according to company standards and GMP requirements. • Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and organizing storage areas. • Operate forklifts safely to move materials, pallets, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas. • Carry out general laborer tasks when required, such as lifting, stacking, and organizing materials to support production and logistics operations. • Perform data entry using Excel to maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, inventory levels, and cycle counts. • Support inventory control activities, including warehouse inventory checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical stock with system records. • Use warehouse management tools, including RF scanners and WMS functionality, to track inventory movement and maintain accurate stock locations. • Assist with order pulling, warehouse packing, and logistics coordination to ensure customer orders ship accurately and on time. • Follow all GMP and safety procedures in the warehouse, including proper material handling, housekeeping, and equipment use. • Communicate frequently with team members and other departments to coordinate shipments, resolve issues, and maintain a smooth flow of materials. • Perform any other warehouse duties assigned to support the overall shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. Essential Skills
• At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Strong forklift operating skills, with the ability to safely move and handle materials in a busy warehouse setting. • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including packaging, order pulling, and logistics coordination. • Proficiency using SAP for scheduling, receiving deliveries, and managing inventory-related transactions. • Ability to use Excel for data entry, recordkeeping, and basic reporting related to shipments and inventory. • Experience managing shipments with carriers such as FedEx and UPS, including labeling, documentation, and tracking. • Experience with inventory control, including warehouse inventory management, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation. • Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and RF scanners for tracking and managing inventory movements. • Experience in a fast-paced, production-based environment requiring frequent communication and coordination. • Capability to perform material handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing products and materials. • Comfort working in a GMP environment and following established procedures for cleanliness, safety, and quality. • Ability to perform general labor and warehouse duties as needed to support shipping and receiving operations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
