About this role

We are currently hiring for Carpenters for iHome Prestige Luxury Inc located at 6 Coldbrook Drive Millbrook, ON L0A 1G0 Canada. However, you may be required to work at various locations within the Peterborough -Kawartha Lakes region and beyond.

Duties:

· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans, and provide direction to carpentry staff regarding layout, sequencing, and technical requirements.

· Survey building locations, elevations, and reference points using levels, measuring tools, and layout equipment to establish accurate guidelines for crews.

· Schedule and co-ordinate day-to-day carpentry work on job sites, ensuring tasks are assigned effectively and projects progress according to timelines.

· Estimate material quantities, labour requirements, and supplies needed for upcoming tasks and communicate needs to management for procurement.

· Train apprentices or junior carpenters by demonstrating correct methods, monitoring workmanship, and ensuring adherence to project specifications

· Oversee and guide junior carpenters and apprentices in the construction, installation, and repair of framing components, decks, exterior structures, and finishing work.

· Demonstrate proper carpentry techniques, safe tool operation, and best practices to apprentices and junior carpenters to maintain workmanship standards.

· Inspect ongoing work to ensure structural alignment, quality of installation, adherence to codes, and compliance with iHome Prestige Luxury?s craftsmanship requirements.

· Perform and oversee specialized restoration work on log homes, including sealing, staining, chinking/caulking, wood repairs, and surface refinishing.

· Lead crews during demolition, structural modifications, and renovation phases to ensure safe and efficient workflow.

· Monitor job-site conditions, address technical issues, and provide solutions to maintain project quality and productivity.

· Maintain and review documentation related to measurements, material usage, progress notes, and site observations.

· Ensure all safety protocols, building codes, and company policies are followed by the carpentry team during each stage of work.

· Communicate progress updates, technical challenges, and resource needs to senior leadership as required.

Requirements

Education: - Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent

Experience & Skills: - 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in Carpentry

Language: - English

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Willing to travel to job sites and overnight stays for some projects

Hourly Rate: $24.00 to $30.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week (based on skills, experience and expertise)

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4% Vacation pay
