Join Northwood and be part of something bigger!Ivy Meadows in Beaverbank, Nova Scotia is hiring and currently accepting applications for Housekeeper to join the team.Department: Support ServicesResponsible to: Trish MacArthurEffective: September 4th 2026Hours/Shifts: 8 hoursQualifications:Grade 12 or equivalent of Grade 12WHMIS is considered an asset;Ability to work well with othersAbility to attend work on a regular and consistent basis according to the Northwood Corporate Standards.Comfortable using email, Word and ExcelResponsibilities:Maintains a safe and clean environment using safe food handling practices, universal precautions and WHMISEnsures workplaces are organized and appropriately set up for workDemonstrates good judgement and respect when using and storing facility equipmentReports maintenance needs of equipmentObserves fire and safety regulationsAdheres to safe work practicesPractices proper body mechanicsActs as a resource for other staff and assists in orientation of new employeesMaintains par levels as requiredOther related duties as assigned by supervisorPerform cleaning functions in assigned areas.Collect and transport garbage, recycling with the ability to push/pull large carts.Performs periodic floor and carpet maintenance in accordance with established procedures and prescribed techniques.Maintains cleanliness, orderliness and general repair of equipment and work area.Completes project/special cleaning, in areas as assigned by the supervisor.Follows safe work practices.Complete specific set-ups for special functions.Completes office moves - transporting of desks, cabinets and other furniture from one area to another as requested by supervisors.Other duties as assigned.Salary /Benefits: NSNU Collective AgreementApplications:Completed internal application forms must be submitted online through the Northwood Hub.
