Job Description Job DescriptionMechanical Assembler - Ontario Wage based on Experience Industry: Automotive and Automation We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to support the assembly, installation, and testing of mechanical components and automated equipment within an automotive manufacturing and industrial automation environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, interpreting technical drawings, using hand and power tools, and working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Responsibilities
• Perform mechanical assembly of components, subassemblies, machinery, and automation equipment according to drawings and specifications. • Read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. • Install mechanical components, brackets, guards, bearings, shafts, fasteners, and related equipment. • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments safely and accurately. • Perform fitting, alignment, adjustment, and fastening of mechanical components. • Support the assembly and integration of automated machinery, production equipment, and automotive manufacturing systems. • Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, workmanship, and compliance with specifications. • Identify mechanical issues and assist with troubleshooting and corrective adjustments. • Follow established health and safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing practices. • Maintain an organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with technicians, electricians, machinists, engineers, and other production team members as required. Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, Assembly Technician, or similar manufacturing position. • Experience working in automotive, automation, machine building, or industrial manufacturing environments is preferred. • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and mechanical assembly documentation. • Proficiency using hand and power tools and mechanical measuring equipment. • Knowledge of mechanical components, fasteners, bearings, shafts, and basic machine assembly principles. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Ability to perform accurate mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly work. • Experience with industrial automation equipment or custom machinery is an asset. • Ability to identify and assist in resolving mechanical assembly issues. • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship. • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a manufacturing or automation team. • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with mechanical assembly work.
