Job Description Job DescriptionControls Engineer - SEP / EPP / Tooling PLC We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer with a strong background in Tooling PLC, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, plant-floor automation, and automotive manufacturing controls. Candidates may qualify through either of the following backgrounds:

• Direct hands-on experience with GM SEP (Scalable Error Proofing) and/or EPP (Error Proofing Platform) systems, or • Strong Tooling PLC / Automotive Controls experience with the ability to learn and be trained on SEP/EPP systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and supporting PLC-controlled tooling and automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment. Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and support Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC programs. • Program and troubleshoot Tooling PLC systems used in automated manufacturing and assembly equipment. • Support SEP (Scalable Error Proofing) and EPP (Error Proofing Platform) applications; training may be provided for candidates with strong tooling PLC experience. • Support PLC, HMI, and plant-floor automation systems in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. • Commission, debug, and troubleshoot automated tooling, fixtures, conveyors, assembly equipment, and production machinery. • Integrate controls systems with barcode scanners, RFID systems, vision systems, sensors, torque tools, and other error-proofing devices. • Troubleshoot communications between PLCs, HMIs, plant-floor devices, manufacturing applications, and databases. • Develop and maintain manufacturing poka-yoke / error-proofing solutions. • Diagnose equipment downtime and implement corrective actions to improve manufacturing uptime, reliability, and production throughput. • Support equipment startup, validation, commissioning, and production launch activities. • Modify existing automation systems to support new tooling, product changes, equipment upgrades, and manufacturing process improvements. • Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, skilled trades, and equipment suppliers to resolve controls issues. • Maintain PLC programs, controls documentation, system backups, and revision history. • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving industrial automation, manufacturing controls, tooling, and production quality. Qualifications Candidates should meet one of the following two profiles: Option 1 - SEP / EPP Controls Engineer

• Hands-on experience with GM SEP and/or GM EPP systems in an automotive manufacturing environment. • Experience configuring, supporting, troubleshooting, or maintaining Scalable Error Proofing or Error Proofing Platform applications. • Strong experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC programming and manufacturing controls. • Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment and plant-floor systems. Option 2 - Tooling PLC Controls Engineer

• Strong hands-on experience with Tooling PLC, machine controls, or automotive manufacturing automation.</l
