Job summary The Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for Colposcopy +/- Vulval Services at Chase Farm Hospital, provides expert clinical care, support and advice for women undergoing assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for cervical and vulval conditions. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will deliver nurse-led clinics, coordinate patient pathways, provide specialist counselling and education, and act as a key advocate for patients throughout their care journey. The role also contributes to service development, quality improvement, education, audit, and governance activities to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care.
Main duties of the job The Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide expert nursing care within Colposcopy and Vulval Services, managing patient pathways, delivering nurse-led clinics, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and providing specialist support and education to patients. The post holder will contribute to service development, quality improvement, clinical governance, audit, teaching and research, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care.
