Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic and resilient Outpatients Front of House Receptionist to support the delivery of the Outpatients Front of House department situated at Royal Free Hospital.
This is a busy and a fast paced role within the Outpatients Front of House department The incoming post holders will need to have good attention to detail, be patient focus and demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team.
The postholder will be expected to consistently demonstrate behaviours aligned to the Trust's shared commitments, embedding compassion, inclusion, integrity and excellence in their day-to-day practice.
Main duties of the job
To provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians in line with office procedures, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of designated out-patient clinics To work closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure that any issues in clinic are raised immediately to maintain an excellent level of service to patients. The post-holder will work as part of the Outpatients team, ensuring an efficient, high quality and timely service is provided. This includes providing a welcoming and professional service to patients when manning the clinic reception(s). To manage the booking of designated follow-up clinics and ensure these are booked efficiently and that any booking issues are raised immediately with medical staff to ensure patient care is not compromised.

Person Specification
Education and professional qualifications Essential
Good general education, including GCSE English grade "C" or above, or equivalent
Royal Free shared commitments Essential
Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust shared commitments.
Skills and aptitudes Essential
Excellent customer care skills, including ability to use judgement, tact & diplomacy A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Experience of prioritising own workload in a highly pressured working environment Knowledge of patient confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
