About this role
• Supervise lead agents; allocating bag room lead agents as needed
• Supervise the safe moving of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transporting it between aircraft, outbound bag room, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft
• Frequent bending, stretching push/pulling, stacking and kneeling in small, confined locations
• Read, interpret, and complete aircraft weight and balance load sheets, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, baggage and cargo routing tags
• Responsible for safe receipt and dispatch of assigned flights, which includes load integrity and safety compliance
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards
• Ensure baggage personnel adhere to established company safety regulations
• Prepare disciplinary incident and or termination reports as needed for violations of company policy
• Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms
• Assist in the baggage handling area
• May occasionally operate various pieces of ground support equipment
• Trains employees during the on-the-job training and/or airline specific training or assigns employees to work with experienced agents
• Required to attend mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role
• Performs other duties that may be assigned
