About this role
The Gstaad Palace with 90 rooms and suites, 5 restaurants, 2 bars and a legendary nightclub is an internationally renowned 5-star luxury hotel. It is owned by the Scherz family and is one of the last traditionally family-run Grand Hotels - a landmark in Switzerland.
We are looking from mid-December 2026 or by mutual agreement for a:
Asia Chef seasonal contract (Winter Season 2026/2027)
**Your area of responsibility includes:**
- Carrying out all work in the production area in accordance with quality and management guidelines - Preparation, processing and presentation of all dishes according to instructions and in consultation with the Culinary Director - Providing the required mise-en-place - Compliance with kitchen standards and hygiene regulations - Proper storage of all food - Care and cleaning of all work areas and equipment - Compliance with all HACCP guidelines
**Qualifications:**
- You have completed an apprenticeship as a chef - Several years of experience in Asian cuisine - In addition to your quality awareness, you are characterised by flexibility, resilience, team spirit and enthusiasm - Ability to communicate in English, other languages an advantage
