Job Description Bay Area Property Services, an Associa company, is looking for an accomplished Community Director with strong people leadership, operational, administrative, and client service experience.

Community association management experience is valuable, but it isn't the only background that can prepare someone to succeed in this role. We are also interested in experienced leaders from property management, banking, financial services, hospitality, customer service, and other operationally complex service environments. If you have successfully led teams, managed demanding client relationships, overseen complex administrative operations, and know how to create structure and accountability while delivering an exceptional customer experience, we want to hear from you.

Compensation $95,000 - $105,000 annually, direct experience highly considered.

How will you make an impact? As Community Director, you will: • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate a team of professional managers. • Provide oversight for branch operations and administrative processes. • Establish expectations, accountability, and consistent operational practices across the team. • Monitor staff performance, service delivery, workload, and office operations. • Develop trusted relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. • Help resolve complex or escalated customer and client concerns. • Promote a strong service culture and support client retention. • Oversee administrative workflows and ensure deadlines, commitments, and business requirements are met. • Support budgeting, financial oversight, and fiscal operations. • Partner with leadership on strategic planning, business development, and branch priorities. • Collaborate across departments to solve problems and improve the client experience. • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development. • Learn the community association management industry and apply proven leadership practices within the BAPS environment. • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• 7-10 years of directly or closely related professional experience.

• 5-7 years of management and/or supervisory experience.

• Demonstrated experience leading professional employees and developing high-performing teams.

• Strong operational and administrative management experience.

• Experience working in a complex, service-driven organization.

• Strong customer or client relationship management experience.

• Experience handling escalated concerns and resolving conflict professionally.

• Experience with budgeting, financial operations, banking, or financial management is highly valued.

• Property management or community management experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong transferable leadership experience.

• Ability to clearly demonstrate the scope and context of prior leadership responsibilities and operational accomplishments.

• Exceptional organization, prioritization, and follow-through.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Ability to learn new systems, processes, regulations, and industry terminology.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Successful candidates will bring a strong combination of people leadership, operational discipline, administrative capability, and customer service. Experience centered primarily on sales without significant responsibility for operations, administration, or team leadership is less aligned with this position.
